Film, television and games production became increasingly important to the UK economy. BAFTA’s profile continued to grow and the Games Awards became firmly established in the BAFTA calendar. Online viewing became increasingly commonplace and BAFTA changed its rules to permit content from online platforms for Awards nominations.
