A major topic when talking about politics and economics is the health of the economy. Political candidates often run for office proclaiming what they will do to improve the nation’s economy and the economic opportunities available for all Americans. But what does that mean? How do people and economists determine whether an economy is healthy or not? This unit contains the answers to these questions. It examines the tools for economic data and measurement. Think about your community. For you and your family, what does it mean for the country to have a strong or healthy economy? What does it mean for the country to have a weak economy? What are some actions that can turn a weak economy into a strong economy?

Answer 1
Answer:

When I talk about a healthy economy, my point of view relies on how fair is that economy to every member of the different stages which compose it, at the same time it contributes to a common wealth of the whole country. If every member of a labor society receives a fair treatment, it will boost their productivity and encourage them to improve and keep climbing through the social scale.

Another important fact is to be sure that the people in charge of running a country provides us with a transparent system, where we the citizens can in some ways control the decisions choosen or at least, discuss them in order to try to find a different path. Avoiding corruption and higher class privileges upon the lower stages of society is a key factor to become a healthy economy.

Answer 2
Answer:

Answer:

In my opinion, a healthy economy is one that is fair to all members of the many stages that make up the economy while still contributing to the country's overall prosperity. If every member of a labor society is treated fairly, their output will increase, and they will be motivated to develop and move up the social ladder. Another crucial factor is to ensure that those in charge of running a nation give us with a transparent system that allows us, the inhabitants, to influence or at least discuss the decisions made in order to try to discover a better route. A vital aspect in becoming a healthy economy is avoiding corruption and higher class privileges on the lowest levels of society.

Explain how this passage shows the theme, “It is important to have someone you can share your feelings with.” Use details from the passage in your answer.

Answers

It is very useful and meaningful to have someone in your life with whom you can share your feelings.

As sharing your feelings with someone provides :-

  • Happiness
  • Relax
  • Stress free life

Sharing the depth of your feelings that are in your heart takes emotional risk and courage, as it can make you feel exposed and vulnerable.

If you're having a difficult time finding the right words, remember that most feelings can be summed up in a single word, including:

  • Angry
  • Attacked
  • Embarrassed
  • Happy
  • Hurt
  • Sad
  • Scared

So , you do not have to have deep, serious conversations about your relationship daily, but you do have to share your feelings (not just your thoughts) about what is going on with you day-to-day.

Sample response:

It is important to have someone you can share your feelings with. This is a theme of the play, because Anne seems to enjoy her conversations with Peter. She does not get along with the adults as well. Anne says it helps to "let off steam" with someone else, and Peter says she can let off steam with him anytime. When Anne says, "Do you mean it?" she acts as though she will take him up on the offer.

Aaron wrote the following claim statement for his literary analysis of the novel Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne. In Around the World in Eighty Days, Jules Verne’s main character, Phileas Fogg takes an inner journey from a distant man who values punctuality to a loving friend who puts others’ welfare before his own interests.

Which quote from the story can he use as one piece of evidence to support his claim?

A.
From Chapter 3: “A memorandum of the wager was at once drawn up and signed by the six parties, during which Phileas Fogg preserved a stoical composure. He certainly did not bet to win, and had only staked the twenty thousand pounds, half of his fortune, because he foresaw that he might have to expend the other half to carry out this difficult, not to say unattainable, project.”
B.
From Chapter 4: “Just as the train was whirling through Sydenham, Passepartout suddenly uttered a cry of despair.
‘What’s the matter?’ asked Mr. Fogg.
‘Alas! In my hurry—I—I forgot—’
‘What?’
‘To turn off the gas in my room!’
‘Very well, young man,’ returned Mr. Fogg, coolly; ‘it will burn—at your expense.’”
C.
From Chapter 29: “The conductor was fighting beside Mr. Fogg, when he was shot and fell. At the same moment he cried, ‘Unless the train is stopped in five minutes, we are lost!’
‘It shall be stopped,’ said Phileas Fogg, preparing to rush from the car.”
D.
From Chapter 36: “One minute more, and the wager would be won. Andrew Stuart and his partners suspended their game. They left their cards, and counted the seconds.…
At the fifty-seventh second the door of the saloon opened; and the pendulum had not beat the sixtieth second when Phileas Fogg appeared, followed by an excited crowd who had forced their way through the club doors, and in his calm voice, said, ‘Here I am, gentlemen!’”

In The Raven by Edgar allen poe Identify the alliteration in lines 45-46.What words are emphasized by using this technique?

Answers

Alliteration is when two or more words have the same beginning sound. In the poem there are three examples:
1) Though...thy...thou
2) crest...craven
3) shorn...shaven
Alliteration gives the text a more unified rhythm, in a way I guess. It makes the piece sound more together.
