What activities, if any, do you engage in that could lead to injury or death?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

The activity I do that can cause injury and lead to death is: spending too much time sitting.

Explanation:

Sitting too long affects your health and can cause injury and even death. The body needs movement, when you spend a lot of time sitting this body need is not met and can cause your health problems.

Spending too much time sitting can cause back pain, circulatory problems, fat accumulation, diabetes, arthritis and tendonitis. All of these factors are very harmful to your health. In addition to being extremely uncomfortable, it can be aggravated and pose a serious risk to your life.

Answer 2
Answer: Personally, I don't engage in many activities. But the ones I do are a little dangerous. I compete in fencing, an ancient sport. I don't think I'd lead to death, but I've gotten quite the injuries.

And as second, I also read around 4 books a week. I'll read in the dark, which has resulted in a need for glasses XD

The __________ valve regulates the flow of blood between the right ventricle and the vessels leading to the lungs.

Answers

The tricuspid valve regulates blood flow between the right atrium and right ventricle.

What is the function of tricuspid valve?

The tricuspid valves job is to allow blood flowing into the heart from the body to flow to the right ventricle where it's pumped to the lungs for oxygen.

What does the tricuspid valve do?

The tricuspid valve is on the right side of the heart. It separates the upper and lower chambers, also known as the right atrium and ventricle. The valve allows deoxygenated blood to flow through both of the chambers.

The dna of a certain organism has guanine as 30% of its bases. what percentage of its bases would be adenine?

Answers

The DNA of a certain organism with guanine residues as 30% of its bases will have adenine as 20% of the residues in the DNA opposite to 20% of the thymine residues and binds with thymine via two hydrogen bonds.

What are nitrogenous bases?

Nitrogenous bases are the constituents of the nucleotides, which are the monomeric units of DNA and RNA. Nitrogenous bases are also known as the Nucleobases. These are nitrogen-containing biomolecules which forms the nucleoside, which in turn are the components of nucleotides which constitutes the basic building blocks of nucleic acids present in the nucleus of cell.

Nitrogenous bases are of two types: Purines and Pyrimidines. Purines include Adenine and Guanine bases whereas pyrimidines include cytosine, thymine, and uracil residues.

Guanine base pairs with cytosine and thymine base pairs with adenine residues in the DNA and in RNA, uracil is present in place of thymine in cell.

The total genetic material of the cell is taken to be 100%. Then, if the amount of guanine is 30%, then the remaining residues will constitute 70% of the genetic material. A guanine always base pairs with cytosine and adenine with thymine.

So,

% of adenine = % of thymine

% of guanine = % of cytosine

As, the percentage of guanine is 30% then the % of cytosine will also be 30%. And together, they make 60% of the genetic material.

Therefore, the proportion of adenine and thymine will be:

= (100- 60)%

= 40% of the total genetic material

As we know that, % of adenine = % of thymine

Therefore, the percentage of adenine will be,

%A (adenine) = %T (Thymine)

40% = % A + %T

40% = 2 × (%A)

40%/2 = (%A)

20% = (%A)

Therefore, % of adenine and % of thymine = 20%

Which of the following is caused by the modification of density–independent factors? A. Parasitic wasps invade cocoons, killing many caterpillars. B. Periodic drought causes an abrupt decrease in vegetation. C. Organisms compete for food, water, and other resources.

Answers

"Periodic drought causes an abrupt decrease in vegetation" is the one among the following that is caused by the modification of density–independent factors. The correct option among all the options that are given in the question is the second option or option "B". I hope the answer has helped you.

Answer;

B. Periodic drought causes an abrupt decrease in vegetation.

Explanation;

-Density-independent factors are those factors limiting the size of a population whose effect is not dependent on the number of individuals in the population, such as weather and climate, exert their influences on population size regardless of the population's density.

-The density dependent factors on the other hand are factors whose effects on the size or growth of the population vary with the population density. There are many types of density dependent limiting factors such as; availability of food, predation, disease, and migration.

How do whales differ from fish? Whales use blowholes for breathing. Whales have scales that cover their skin. Whales develop lungs following metamorphosis. Whales fertilize externally.

Answers

Whales differ from fish because whales use blowholes for breathing. Therefore, option A is correct.

How do whales breathe?

Because they are animals, whales also breathe air into their lungs as humans do. Since they lack gills, they cannot breathe underwater like fish can. They breathe through a blowhole, which is a pair of nostrils on top of their heads.

This enables them to breathe when swimming or resting underwater by just exposing the tops of their heads to the air, and After each breath, the blowhole is sealed securely by powerful muscles that surround it, so that water cannot enter the whale's lungs.

Thus, Whales differ from fish because whales use blowholes for breathing, while other fishes use gills for breathing. Therefore, option A is correct.
