Graphic designers consider __________ easier to use because it allows them to set the initial color based on hue and then fine-tune the saturation and lightness value. a. HTML
b. CSS
c. HSL
d. HTM

Answers

Answer:

HSL

Explanation:

HSL (which stands for Hue Saturation Lightness) is a hue-based representation of the RGB color space of computer graphics. The HSL model is widely considered to be more intuitive than the RGB model. This is because, the HSL model allows you to select a base hue, and then adjust its saturation and lightness as desired.

Answer:

The answer is C) HSL

Explanation:

This is because HSL does not use the RGB(Red,Green,Blue) model which is more difficult. In the RGB model one needs to strike a balance between the Red,Green and Blue colours to attain the desired mix.

What do you think about the argument that word processing reduces the quality of writing?

Answers

I believe when you're given a sufficient amount of time you are able to write your thoughts clearly than when you're given a short period of time to answer questions or make an argument on an essay BUT there is a drawback with the tools within the word processing. Word processing comes with a spell check but it does not correct homonyms such as they're, their and there or other homonyms. My experience with word processing is that I always need time to effectively write something and that helps me make less grammatical mistakes when I take my time to write and edit my paper, I guess it all depends on the individual in their writing skills

I hope this helps!

Assume a program has the following variable definitions: int units;

float mass;

double weight;

and the following statement

weight = mass * units;

Which automatic data type conversion will take place?

a) mass is demoted to an int, units remains an int, and the result of mass * units is an int.

b) units is promoted to a float, mass remains a float and the result of mass * units is a float.

c) units is promoted to a float, mass remains a float and the result of mass * units is a double.

Answers

Answer:

C

Explanation:

As the unit is defined as integer type i.e. unit will have whole number, mass is defined as float data type which will have fractional values, and weight is defined as double data type which can have both values i.e. fractional value or integer value.

If you multiply an integer value by a fractional/decimal value it will give fractional value (unit value will promote to fractions).

Thus, result will be fractional value so result of unit*mass will be double.

Give one example to non-regularity on any programming language that you know. You should provide an example to each one of the following categories: Generality, Orthogonality, and Uniformity. That is, you will give total three examples and explain why?

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

For understanding this we need to know what regularity is. It depicts how good the features of a language are integrated.Regularity is divided into three main concepts, i.e. Generality, Orthogonality and Uniformity.

The concept of regularity arises on a language when the consistency and integration in its features fails to work well.Thus the language becomes more complex for the user.

For Example -

Java

1. Generality - It is achieved when the language avoids special cases in the use of constructs and combines the close related constructs into a single but more general construct.

In java, there is the use of inheritance for classes but we cannot use multiple inheritance which is a special case.This can be termed as non-generality.

2. Orthogonality - If a language is purely orthogonal, the language constructs do not behave differently in different contexts.

In java, we cannot use Strings in the switch statement  but we can use integers, convertible integers(byte, short, char) in the switch statements. This shows non-regularity.

3. Uniformity - It refers in the feasibility and stability on the appearance and behavior of language constructs.

In java, there are many ways for increment i.e. (++1, i++, i = i + 1). But they all are so different and also looks different but they behave in a similar way when they should not.

Answer:

Ada is a programming language that has 1 loop structure with variations -- this is a good example of generality.

loop ... end loop

for i=1..n loop ... end loop

while cond loop ... end loop

Example of orthogonality of pascal data type is

Data Type I/O

char yes

integer yes

real yes

boolean yes

enum no

An example of uniformity of pascal is

REPEAT-UNTIL vs WHILE DO BEGIN ... END

Explanation: GENERALITY deals withThe avoidance of special cases and generalizing related constructs into one construct, pascal lack a good generality that was why i gave an example using Ada.

ORTHOGONALITY deals with the idea that Independent functions should be controlled by independent mechanisms, i sited a good example of pascal data type above.

UNIFORMITY is the The consistency of appearance and behavior of language constructs, a good pascal example was sited above.
